Gaumukh Tapovan Trek

 Gaumukh is the pout of the Gangotri Glacier from where the Bhagirathi River flows which is one of the primary streams of Ganga. It is once in a lifetime places to visit. The trek starts from Gangotri and moves through Chirbasa, Bhojbasa and finally to Tapovan via Gaumukh. The reason, why travelers from across the country and many other places are attracted to take on the Gaumukh Tapovan trek, is due to the fact that apart from the scenic beauty one gets to witness the purest form of river Ganga, considered to be the holiest river in the country, which cannot be found anywhere else.

The Bhagirathi sisters challenge Mt Shivling as the two compete to dominate the view for trekkers. Another highlight of the trek is the Gaumukh Glacier. The snout of the Glacier is so far and wide that it’ll leave the trekkers astounded and the Bhagirathi river flows gushing out of there which is quite rare because in most places the rivers are so swift right at their source.
